In Pakistan the literacy rate is so low that is only 45 percent. People who need to get education they moved to other stations to get education that was great panic for people. In past there was no trend of education and people didn’t let their children get education but now people are so focused. They make their children go and get education there was no board in past. When Pakistan was formed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa education was under the University of Peshawar that was the authority to conduct examination but then trend changed and government formed board in 1990. That board was named as Mardan board of intermediate and secondary education. This board was formed under Ordinance Act 1990 and it is independent body functioning by Ministry of Education.

There are some main functions of the board and its main objective is to conduct examination for 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class examination. This board also provides students with facilities to continue their education. This board is not confined to certain areas but it is spread so vast. Its jurisdiction consists of following areas District Mardan, District Swabi and District Nowshera. This board also conducts examination those are conducted for 5th and 8th class although these examinations are not compulsory but students appear in them for practice so that they can perform good in compulsory board examination.

There are many schools and colleges those are affiliated with the board and examinations are conducted there. This board conducts examination for 9th class in the month of March and April this year also examinations are conducted by the board and now many students are waiting for their results to be declared in the month of June and July that time is very near for the result to be declared. This result will be displayed on the official website of the board and also we will display on our website.

Before examination students need to get themselves register with the board these forms are posted to the affiliated colleges and those will also be available on the official website of the board.
